The Public is the first microbrewery in Steinbach, Manitoba.
We design and brew craft beer on-site using local ingredients.
Our beer is served in our taproom and in refillable growlers and howlers to-go.
We serve snacks but are not a restaurant. You are welcome to carry in takeout, order delivery, or bring food from home.
The Public is also southeastern Manitoba’s only contemporary art gallery.
The taproom hosts rotating exhibits featuring works by rural contemporary artists.
In addition, our portable, phone booth-sized Tiny Gallery brings reproductions to smaller communities with no gallery space.
The Public has an inviting, television-free atmosphere that encourages conversation.
It is a place to taste local beer, encounter local art, and converse with friends.
Special events include live music nights and a monthly pub quiz.
Our taproom is also available for private rentals including birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, and wedding showers.
